Dead Guy Spy (Nathan Abercrombie, Accidental Zombie) ReviewI enjoyed the first book in the "Nathan Abercrombie" series. There was a guffaw on nearly every page and the concept was clever. "Dead Guy Spy" deviates from this pattern. And in fact, was a different sort of read. For one thing I thought there was less humor, and for another thing the book started off very slowly. Neither of which is a good thing in a book meant for Tweeners and Middle-schoolers.
And yet, towards the last third of the book, the pace picked up and the story was very engaging in the adventure sense. The mystery about whether the spy group B.U.M was legit or not was great.
So all-in-all I'm finding it difficult to rate this book. For those who enjoyed the first book, I'd say give it a try. Just remember though, that you are going to have to be patient, that the story takes it's time building. The ending though was good.
