Sassaras Flower Tree Swing ReviewWe have two of these swings in our back yard on our huge tree. As far as play goes, they are the go to backyard toy for my kids aged 8, 6 and 4. They love them and have had so much fun swinging and spinning. We bought the first ladybug two years ago. The rope is sturdy, which was my concern at first, but the issue has become the wood seat. After the first year, the paint was completely peeled and the wood was splintering. There was no visible painted surface left, so the cute factor was gone, which was why we purchased this over the plastic ones in the first place. We bought another ladybug swing because it was so loved. So now the swings are 2 years and 1 year old, there is the splintering wood to deal with, the wood has all delaminated and it comes off on their clothes. The side of the seat, you can see the layers of wood all fanning out due to moisture in the wood. My 4 year old and his cousin started picking off the layers of wood and made through about 4 layers top and underside of the swing before I caught them. So now, they cannot be used. We loved to concept so are now buying plastic ones from Amazon that are rated for much higher weight, can stand up to the elements and my kids won't miss the ladybugs in place of a durable swing I'm sure !
