Little Tikes Bounce House Trampoline ReviewThe bounce house is a fun toy, my 3-year-old daughter and her friends all love it.
However, it has two big drawbacks. First, the minute kids get in it, the first thing they want to do is tip it over. It tips easily and the kids think this is great fun, until they hit their heads on the floor. Tipping over the house also leads to problem number two: The bounce house is not very durable. Ours started springing leaks after about a month. It now has 3 holes, one in each air chamber. The holes are difficult to patch as they are on the seams and in the corners where the toy is often stretched in different directions (especially when tipped!)This stretching tends to peel off the patches.
Also, the patch kit that comes with the bounce house is a joke, it does not work at all! I bought one used for repairing inflatable boats which worked a little better, except as indicated above.
All in all, I can't recommend buying this until Little Tykes devises a way to keep the thing from tipping over so easily.
By the way, in the ads for this, you see two kids happily bouncing. On the warning label it says only one child at a time. What fun is that?
The warning label also says-- and I swear I am not making this up -- "Do not jump on this toy as it may cause irreparable damage." New Intex "Phthalate Free" 85" x 76" x 45" Jump-o-Lene Castle Bouncer Inflatable Trampoline ReviewGot this for my 2 yr. old lil girls birthday and, so far, am super pleased. I'm 8 months pregnant and just am not able to be as energetic as she needs. This was a real life saver. I bought the recommended pump, blew it up to 80% full (instruction reader!), and let her have a ball. Have had no "seam" problems or "slow leaks" yet. Haven't taken it outside. She's getting much better at bouncing, but mostly loves just to run around throwing herself into the walls. VERY sturdy! LoL. I even throw a sheet over the top to give her a tent to play in with her stuffed animals. 2 toys in one! Pretty stable, though she can get it rocking if she wants to. Holds up well when her big sister (4 yrs) rides it too. Giga Ball Gigaball Red 51" ReviewI bought this toy (51" Giga Ball)for my 3 children for Christmas. I didn't actually inflate it until the day after Christmas. Here it is 2 days after Christmas and all of the clear sections on the ball are popped and deflated. Several of them popped just while being inflated. My daughter says it doesn't matter if you inflate it by mouth or compresser, it still pops and deflates. This toy cost me about $60 and it will probably last another few days before it goes into the trash......It is fun but is not worth $60, and it isn't durable AT ALL. It was used on grass, after the yard was carefully cleared of debris, and it still pops....TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!Giga Ball Gigaball Red 51" OverviewBounce it, climb it, get inside it and roll around. 2011 Model Intex Phthalate Free Castle Bounce Jump-O-Lene Inflatable Bouncer Ball Bit ReviewI read the reviews and was a little worried about getting holes in this bouncer, but it was to be indoors and my daughter is a very laid back 2 year old. It lasted 2 months before the first hole. No problem I just patched it. Then the next hole. It's a slow one and I can't find it for the life of me. No problem I'll just blow up that chamber every couple of days. The final hole is in the corner in the seam, no matter how much I patch it it still leaks and continues to grow. Vtech Ride and Learn Giraffe Bike ReviewThis toy was given to my two year old on his birthday. It was difficult for him at first but he has improved his balance and coordination trying to pedal. He only spends short amounts of time on it but this is true with most things. It is also quite cute to hear him repeating the alphabet as it sings to him especially since he is a little boy not wanting to talk very much. I think it is great for his age as it does challenge him. I wish the music had a volume button as it is a little loud. It is light enough that he can drag to other rooms. At first, it was just fun to bounce around. Now, she puts on a hat and carries a purse and "goes to town for groceries," etc. Our older granddaughter who is now nine has even bounced around on it with no ill effects to the toy. I'm going to hate to see him go, but she is four and it's getting a little too short for her longer legs. Guess we'll have to buy a hoparoo or some such to replace it. 80" x 27" Jump-o-Lene ReviewMy 2 year old twin boys absolutely adore this toy. We brought it inside to our family room for the fall and winter, and it has been an enormous hit (outside they were less impressed with it). They bounce to their hearts' content, run in circles around the inner edge, and even read books inside it. It is no exaggeration to say that they spent the majority of their day playing in this toy and that our house was the #1 destination in the neighborhood for other kids who wanted to come jump!
My one complaint, however, is that I agree with the reviewer who said it is not as durable as the product description claims. We had ours inside for less than a month before it had a hole in the upper ring. Within another month, 6 of the 7 chambers had holes, only two of which I could find (and even after repairing them with the included repair kit, they still deflated). I have gone over every centimeter of this toy looking for the leaks, and I'm coming up with nothing. It's probably a good idea to have an electric air pump on hand to do rapid refills as needed.
My kids have loved this toy so much that we will likely get a new Jumpolene soon, despite the trouble we've had with this one.80" x 27" Jump-o-Lene OverviewFeaturing an 82-inch jumping surface, the Jump-O-Lene can accommodatetwo little jumpers. The attached three-ring, 1.75-foot safety retainer wall hasdrain holes to prevent water from accumulating when used outside. The bouncingmattress is constructed of two separate heavy-duty vinyl cushions for extrabounce. The vinyl is UV-damage resistant, and a repair kit is included. Supportsa maximum of 120 pounds. Inflates with any air pump, or a 120-volt AC electric pump, sold separately. The Jump-O-Lene inflates to 82inches deep and weighs 21 pounds.
