Box-o-Mania Fire Station No7 Play Box Kit ReviewI bought this for my 3 and 5 year old sons as as Christmas pressent from their grandparents. It was a HUGE hit. It's large - you need some space to set it up and first time assembly is definitely a two person job although I suspect it gets easier. The first time you actually have to bend the pieces to get them to fit together, but once creased, they stay creased. It comes with a large storage box that you can break the play house down and store it in.
It appears to be made of a thick plastic. Once together, it stays together pretty well with nice solid velcro tabs. Both of the kids fit easily inside. They take a camping lantern and radio inside and hang out forever. We got the firehouse version. It comes with large beautiful stickers that can be rearranged and reused.
Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. No idea how long it will last as we just got it, but it appears to have staying power. The kids especially love having their own little space - we set it up in the bonus room and they crawl inside and "disappear". It's large enough for a small adult to hang out for a little while as well.

Box-o-Mania MyPlace Play Box Kit ReviewWe purchased this playhouse for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She has not played with many of her other gifts yet because she has been so excited to play in her new house. I was a little nervous buying this playhouse when I couldn't find any reviews on any site but decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. This house feels large and does take up quite a bit of room, but it comes in a box that you can use for storage if needed. Though, I wouldn't want to put this house together frequently. It was easy assembly, but a second person is highly recommended to help line up the velcro. As for the material, I was expecting a thicker, more sturdy material, because the pictures make it look that way. The white is actually semi-transparent, you can see light and the outline of the stickers from the outside, but not so much to be a big negative, and after a while it didn't bother me at all since the interior is bright with no extra light needed. The sturdiness is very similar to it's corrugated cardboard box counterpart, but once the entire house is assembled everything is sturdy enough for playtime. And over time, this playhouse will be quite durable. The stickers are very cute. They are removable and durable, but I don't know if they'd stand up to a child who constantly moves stickers around. We did move several stickers a few times with no problems. Now that my daughter has them where she wants them, they will probably stay there, so we won't have any issues. Another thing I was worried about was if the edges would be sharp and a potential for scratches and cuts. I would say that for the most part, no. The edges are just like when you cut cardboard boxes, and a few edges were a little rough, but I tried giving myself a scrape and could not do it. Her play plastic kitchen (which now resides inside her playhouse) has much sharper edges than this playhouse. So I have no worries anymore. One small issue is that the door doesn't stay shut... not a big deal, but we will probably add a simple latch so it doesn't swing about. We have not yet tried any markers on it, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I am very please with this purchase, and my daughter loves it.Box-o-Mania MyPlace Play Box Kit Overview

Blast Zone Superstar Inflatable Party Moonwalk by Blast Zone ReviewWhen my wife called to say she was buying a bounce house for the boys (age 5,6,8) I was hesitant to get one from the internet. We have been renting them three times a year, for about $[...] a time, so we felt it would be a good idea to buy one. As usual, she proved me wrong. My Kids adore this thing.
The overall height was low, and since we wanted something we could use inside and out, we decided to go with the Superstar because it seemed like the best value. The Super Star turned out to be bigger than I expected, but it still fits in our garage, which is a huge bonus for us when it's cold. We put a tarp on the floor underneath it. The picture looks like it's open, but the front actually velcro's shut so the kids are kept inside with no problem.
Our boys treat it like you'd expect - like it's a big wrestling ring. It has held up pretty well, and I think the ideal age range is 3-8. Our 8 year old is big for his age, and he likes playing in it, but the younger kids seem to like it even more. They want to sleep in it, but I don't know how they'd be able to sleep in it with the fan going the whole time.
Buying the bounce house online and not being able to test it person worried me. Now that I see my 3 boys on it having an amazing time, I am so glad my wife purchased it. This summer we have been setting the Super Star up outside. The boys play on the bouncer for a few hours before coming inside exhausted.
Pros:
* Easy to set up
* Can be used indoors and outdoors
* Tires the kids out!
* Has lasted me six months with no problems
* Comes with a carrying bag
* Blows up and is ready to use in only a couple of minutes
* Low overall height (I think 7ft or so)
Cons:
* Takes about 10 minutes to roll the bouncer tightly for storage
* The air blower is loud, but a lot quieter then the rental bounce house blowers we have used in the past (louder than a hair dryer, not as loud as a vacuum).

Here it is 2 days after Christmas and all of the clear sections on the ball are popped and deflated. Several of them popped just while being inflated. This toy cost me about $60 and it will probably last another few days before it goes into the trash......It is fun but is not worth $60, and it isn't durable AT ALL. It took me a total of 3 or 4 minutes to set up this tent! My tent was 5 feet tall, and 35" wide and 41" length. The poles used in this tent are the poles used years ago for tents. they are easy, strong plastic, durable poles. And once the tent is up, it's easy to move it around, if you need to. I've used many of their suggested games, and the children have enjoyed them all. It isn't the most requested alphabet game that I have in my preschool, but never fails to entertain the group when I pull it out. I'm pretty picky about what I use to teach, and I'd prefer that the letters weren't crooked and that a more basic font was used, but that doesn't bother the children at all. Discovery Kids Cardboard Color Me Play House ReviewI bought this on sale at a store for $20. My kids are having a great time coloring it and playing in it, but it isn't going to last long--it is fairly sturdy, for cardboard, but it is cardboard after all. I am pleased by how the cardboard takes markers--they show up nice and bright. And considering what it is, it is well-made. I am going to take some clear packing tape to the bottom pieces tomorrow to try to make it last longer. Oh, and it's really quite big!
