The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide: From Pacifiers to Potties . . . Why, When, and What to Buy for Pregnancy Through Preschool ReviewSomeone on my expecting club board recommended this book, and I had to buy it because I was clueless on what I would need for our new baby due in May. It's nice to have information on all products in one spot. The humor in it certainly helps the read too!
I liked the list at the end of what you must have on your registry, as well as the "Must Have", "Nice to Have", and "Don't Need" ratings for each product category. The Baby Gizmo Buying Guide: From Pacifiers to Potties . . . Why, When, and What to Buy for Pregnancy Through Preschool Overview

Box-o-Mania MyPlace Play Box Kit ReviewWe purchased this playhouse for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She has not played with many of her other gifts yet because she has been so excited to play in her new house. I was a little nervous buying this playhouse when I couldn't find any reviews on any site but decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did. This house feels large and does take up quite a bit of room, but it comes in a box that you can use for storage if needed. Though, I wouldn't want to put this house together frequently. It was easy assembly, but a second person is highly recommended to help line up the velcro. As for the material, I was expecting a thicker, more sturdy material, because the pictures make it look that way. The white is actually semi-transparent, you can see light and the outline of the stickers from the outside, but not so much to be a big negative, and after a while it didn't bother me at all since the interior is bright with no extra light needed. The sturdiness is very similar to it's corrugated cardboard box counterpart, but once the entire house is assembled everything is sturdy enough for playtime. And over time, this playhouse will be quite durable. The stickers are very cute. They are removable and durable, but I don't know if they'd stand up to a child who constantly moves stickers around. We did move several stickers a few times with no problems. Now that my daughter has them where she wants them, they will probably stay there, so we won't have any issues. Another thing I was worried about was if the edges would be sharp and a potential for scratches and cuts. I would say that for the most part, no. The edges are just like when you cut cardboard boxes, and a few edges were a little rough, but I tried giving myself a scrape and could not do it. Her play plastic kitchen (which now resides inside her playhouse) has much sharper edges than this playhouse. So I have no worries anymore. One small issue is that the door doesn't stay shut... not a big deal, but we will probably add a simple latch so it doesn't swing about. We have not yet tried any markers on it, so I can't comment on that. Overall, I am very please with this purchase, and my daughter loves it.Box-o-Mania MyPlace Play Box Kit Overview

Little Tikes Clubhouse Swing Set ReviewRead all the other reviews, on Amazon, Toys R Us and the Little Tikes site, before purchasing Little Tikes Clubhouse Swingset via Amazon. It was in stock, shipped promptly, qualified for free shipping (saved over $90!!!), arrived in good condition and had all the parts -- nothing missing. My step-son-in-law is very handy & logical, and got it together in one afternoon, and our 1 1/2 year old grandson loves it!
From reading the other reviews about how small it is once it's up, I was concerned that we would find the same thing. However it's pretty much the size that you'd expect if you take a good look at the promotional photos, and from the pictures that we've been sent, it should be good for at least 3 - 4 more years, and only outgrown at kindergarten age. Then they can sell it (if cared for, the sets retain good resale value)!
Very happy with the purchase!Little Tikes Clubhouse Swing Set OverviewA backyard swing set with built in playhouse and sliding board! Kids will get years of enjoyment from this fun and durable swing set. Climb to the platform two different ways - slide down and do it again! This outdoor play set turns your backyard into a playground! The Clubhouse Swingset is designed for hours of backyard fun. Know that your kids are safe playing in durable clubhouse & sturdy swingset from Little Tikes.

Step2 Toddler Swing ReviewI bought this swing to put on the new variety climber swing set extension that we just bought. My 7 month old and 22 month old fit perfectly in it. When my best friends 20 month old boy came over to try out the new play set he just bairly fit. He is not an overweight toddler, just tall and muscular. There is no way a bigger kid would fit. So I am going tomorrow to buy the little tykes high back toddler chair for our bigger guests. One really nice feature about this chair is that it has a 5 point harness belt. That is really comforting. I really feel that my babies are safe sitting in it.Step2 Toddler Swing OverviewKeep your little one laughing for hours. This sturdy swing is the perfect seat for toddlers who want to spend some time outdoors. Comfortable and easy to maneuver, the Toddler Swing has a five-point harness system with a buckle latch to keep little swingers safe and secure. Also features durable, weather-resistant rope and molded-in push handles in the front. Ventilation holes allow for steady airflow around your child. Minimal adult assembly required. Playskool Made For Me Mp3 Music Player ReviewWe bought this for our 3 year old son. He loves it. The software is super easy to use. My Son's attention span isn't as long as the amount of music this can hold. My only complaint is the voice record feature. It is one button on the mp3 player and if your child pushes it it will record automaticly. Any and all sound including interference from other electronic devices. Makes a terrible sound. You then have to plug the MP3 into your computer to erase all the files recorded via the voice record button. Also, these voice record files land under the favorites category. This is the first category that comes on whenever you turn on the unit. A possible way to avoid this is to fill up the MP3 as much as you can so there is no room for recording. However it is hard to find that exact golden number so that you have 000 MBs/KBs left. I have yet to hit that nail on the head. Aside from this one long winded complaint I would reccomend this unit even though it is a bit $$.Playskool Made For Me Mp3 Music Player OverviewThe Made for Me MP3 Music Player is an MP3 player that allows parents to customize music to their baby's developmental and personality needs. The Made For Me MP3 player lets parents play songs from a pre-recorded library of 50 songs and sound effects, create personalized play lists (like an upbeat playlist for playtime, or a soothing playlist for quiet time), transfer tunes from CDs and the Internet, or even record their own voice. The colorful MP3 Music Player easily attaches to a crib and also has a built-in handle for convenient on-the-go listening. The playful animal-themed cover puts a friendly face in baby's view, and the colorful lightshow is sure to mesmerize little ones. The MP3 Music Player comes with MP3 unit, player cover, software installation CD, USB cable and instructions. The removable MP3 unit can be used in any of the Made for Me toys, including the 2-in-1 Infant Gym and the Day to Dream Soother.

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Easystore Jr. Play Slide ReviewAfter a few trips to the park, my 18mo/old started going around all day saying "slide". We don't have the room in our backyard for a playset, so we settled on this one. I don't think she has left the thing alone for 5 min since we got it. The bottom of the slide spits the child out only about 2 inches off the ground. However, after much sliding over carpet, my child started holding her little rear. So, we put an exercise mat at the bottom to cushion the end of the ride, and she loves it!!! It does fold, but not too easily, however, I have not had the chance to put it up :-)Little Tikes Endless Adventures Easystore Jr. Play Slide OverviewWhen this slide is open, toddlers will play and slide all day. When it's closed, it folds down without tools for compact storage and moving away. Take it on trips, to the campground, or even use it indoors when the sun isn't shining. And the "Backyard Naturals" colors are fun for kids, yet blend in well with the backyard setting. Measures 23"H x 18"W x 39"D.

2011 Model Intex Phthalate Free Castle Bounce Jump-O-Lene Inflatable Bouncer Ball Bit ReviewI read the reviews and was a little worried about getting holes in this bouncer, but it was to be indoors and my daughter is a very laid back 2 year old. It lasted 2 months before the first hole. No problem I just patched it. Then the next hole. It's a slow one and I can't find it for the life of me. No problem I'll just blow up that chamber every couple of days. The final hole is in the corner in the seam, no matter how much I patch it it still leaks and continues to grow. I've given up at this point.2011 Model Intex Phthalate Free Castle Bounce Jump-O-Lene Inflatable Bouncer Ball Bit Overview

Little Tikes Endless Adventures Rock Climber and Slide ReviewThe little tikes adventures rock climber and slide is definitely the perfect toy for a little toddler. It was pretty simple to put together but did take some arm strength as most of the little tikes toys do. My son is 18 months old and likes the slide a lot. It actually stops him at the end before he falls on the ground which both he and I like a lot. It is also good for kids older - about 3 to 4 years but after that, height is a problem for older kids. The taller they are the less fun the climber and slide are.Little Tikes Endless Adventures Rock Climber and Slide OverviewWe've designed the perfect backyard jungle gym for toddlers. This climber includes a rock wall, sliding board and plenty of places to crawl, hide and climb. Every one of our climbers is built with our legendary quality and durability. Outdoor play promotes healthy exercise habits. The Endless Adventures Rock Climber & Slide is an adventurous and versatile climber that grows along with kids and provides multiple configurations and a variety of play patterns.

Bucket Toddler Swing with Rope ReviewI had never thought about buying one of these for our home swing set before I started reading reviews for different types of swings. My daughter is a "leaner". She likes to lean forward or back while swinging and after reading the reviews of the other swings, I thought they would not work. I put this on our wish list for her 1st birthday and I'm so glad I did. She loves it! She will swing in it for a long time. Every day when we come home from day care and let the dog outside, she points and talks towards her swing. Not only does she love it, but it is very stable for her. We can also turn her away from the sun because of the 4 leg holes. It doesn't collect water in it, so even if it is raining early in the day, I can take her out there. We love this swing and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants an easy to install, stable, safe and fun swing!Bucket Toddler Swing with Rope Overview

Step2 Play Up Double Slide Climber ReviewI bought this for my daughter who is two, she loves it. This was really easy to set up and having two slides, two sizes workes out really well. She doesnt get board on it, the climber, wheel, and even under the play structure is like a little secret fort for her. Our daughter who is seven can play on this with her at the same time & there is plenty of room for both of them to be on it at the same time & it doesnt budge as far as tipping...solid. We live in townhouses with only contrete backyard, I bought the big childrens pads for saftly precautions, which worked out really well...I recommend buying them to put at the end of the slides if you dont have grass in your backyard. It was a great purchase!. I bought the step two table to go with this & the extra two chairs all the step two products are good quality and durable. Thank you step two our girls loves your products, great job designing.Step2 Play Up Double Slide Climber OverviewLarge, two tiered platform with two slides, climbing wall and ladder with hand holds, and steering wheel that rotates. 61 H. x 84" L. x 53" W.
