Lamaze Tummy Time Air Play Mat ReviewMy son loves this tummy time mat. My 5 month old (true gestational age 4 months) really really dispizes tummy time. He had hardlly rolled over and was behind because he cried every time I tried to give him time on his tummy. After two weeks with this toy he has really developed his muscles and is rolling over and lifting up onto his elbows and knees! He laughs and smiles at him self in the mirror which by the way is a awesome mirror. It is nice and cleat and not distorted like some other baby mirrors and it's the right Hightower for the tummy prop that comes with mat. The tummy prop is firm but still very flexible and comfortable for baby.My son wiggles off of it accsionally but he lands on the plush mat so no big deal! The two toys are awesome! The corn is a crinkle toy and the tractor is a nice gummy teether! My son enjoys both! With his mat I get about 15 minutes of tummy time! No complaints both my son and I love it. Linkadoos Barnyard Friends Motion/Music Gym ReviewThis playmat was not my first choice, buy my son loves it. We can leave him on it for almost an hour before he gets tired of it. (He is five months old.) He loves to hit the hanging toys, then roll to the sides to chew on the mat, spin the ball, look in the mirror, and start all over again. The mat had helped him to learn to turn over, as he uses the red supports to push him to his stomach and he also uses it to spin around on his back. There are a few drawbacks, which is why I gave it a four-star rating. The hanging toys come off when pulled fairly easily. I have doubled up the linking rings to make it a little harder for my son, but he has still managed to pull them off the toy. The plastic one hurts him when it hits him. The mat isn't wide enough to be able to change the scenery for my son. It was only made to orient the child two ways. Chicco Duo Gym Activity Center ReviewI previously owned the Fisher Price Kick and Drive Gym which my first child used. She loved it and played with it for quite some time. I loved that the kick pad actually made the toy come on. It was also very easy to move from the lying position to the sitting position. The wheel does make a noise that could scare some children if they are not used to it but it was no problem for us.
The Chico gym is a joke. The foot panels do nothing more than squeak like a dog toy. It is not electronically connected to the rest of the toy. Also, you have to disassemble the gym in order to simply move it down to the sitting position. I wish I had never sold the Fisher Price one. I can say that it is attractive and does do the job as far as a toy goes, but don't count on getting any time for yourself out of it.Chicco Duo Gym Activity Center Overview

Farmyard Activity Mat ReviewI absolutely LOVE our Skip Hop Activity Mat and so does our 8 week old son. When shopping for baby playmats, I narrowed it down between the Boppy Entertain Me Play Gym and the Skip Hop and I am glad I chose this. What I love most about this product is it's beautiful, modern and simple design, compared to the overly busy playmats available on the market. Even the animals have a distinct, modern look that both grown-up and children alike can enjoy. This playmat looks great in our modern home and modern nursery.
Our 8 week old son first looked at the pig and cooed, then took a liking to the cow that has a mirror on it and he just stared and cooed with more delight. All the hanging animals have a fun developmental and interactive feature. The sheep plays a musical song when pressed, the cow has a mirror, the rabbit is attached to a rattle and the pig has a whimsical chime. Even the mat itself has developmental play pieces for baby to discover - the cow squeaks, the duck has a crinkly wing and the rabbit has a velcro carrot that rattles. It also comes with a mini pillow for tummy time which we have used, but it is pretty small and looks like it will get outgrown quickly. It's perfect for now though. The mat is a nice sized square and feels like a well-made quilt.

Activity Play Gym ReviewMy little one is 2.5 months old and loves this gym already. We have the Fisher Price Under Water Activity Gym also. This is a small comparison of the two.
1. The FP Gym connects with velcro, this one links the toys down. She bats at the toys pretty hard and with the FP one we are afraid because of the velcro that they will fall on her, this one does not have that problem.
2. Both have similar toys...one with balls in it, a mirror, and a basic toy. All of which I think are important for learning.
3. The FP turns into a tunnel, obviously this does not but it is decently structured and won't "pop out" like the FP does in some reviews.
4. The toys on this one are able to vary at different heights as our little one grows. The FP one is static because of the velcro link.
5. Great value for money on this one, I like all the colors and functionality of the toys and my child does too.
I would recommend this one highly and also compare what you want based on your needs to other play gyms. They all have different pros and cons.
Update: 9/25/10 This one is absolutely wonderful. We hang her favorite toys from the rings (can't do this with the velcro one) and we drag it with us everywhere we go. It isn't as portable as others but it's worth it. She also tries to grab the toys with her feet, it's a great height and we adjust toys by taking off or adding on the connecting rings.Join Amazon Mom: [...]Activity Play Gym Overview

Infantino Travel Gym ReviewThis video shows the bar and how easily it can pull out.
This toy is cute and colorful and my son liked it immediately. He started to grab at the toys and kick and pull. He's 4 1/2 months.
HOWEVER, I would never let him play with this toy if I wasn't around. He very easily pulled the bar out as nothing holds it in place. In addition, the orange plastic pieces are a bit cheap and snap out of place also. I am debating on returning mine because the idea was to have a toy that would entertain him without me having to sit there and watch. I would not walk away because the plastic toys could hit him in the head when the bar pops out. On the packaging it says that you should keep the bar at a distance so that your child can not mouth the toys, however, our son tugged on one of the links until he got it to his mouth (the bar is very flexible). And a minor point would be that for some reason the link toys do not stay linked very well and within seconds they were unlinked and on the floor.
