Blue Available ReviewWe bought these mats to put on our floor so our baby would have a soft place to play and crawl/walk. The color works for us, but some of the blue is slightly off from tile to tile. They mark very easily. My dog stretched out on them and it left claw marks. My dog is not very rough, but every time he walks across the tiles, there seem to be new marks. it does clean up nice and suits our purpose for buying them. Much easier to clean up compared to carpet, and we put her highchair on the tiles, so any spills can be wiped up. Lamaze Tummy Time Air Play Mat ReviewMy son loves this tummy time mat. My 5 month old (true gestational age 4 months) really really dispizes tummy time. He had hardlly rolled over and was behind because he cried every time I tried to give him time on his tummy. After two weeks with this toy he has really developed his muscles and is rolling over and lifting up onto his elbows and knees! He laughs and smiles at him self in the mirror which by the way is a awesome mirror. It is nice and cleat and not distorted like some other baby mirrors and it's the right Hightower for the tummy prop that comes with mat. The tummy prop is firm but still very flexible and comfortable for baby.My son wiggles off of it accsionally but he lands on the plush mat so no big deal! The two toys are awesome! The corn is a crinkle toy and the tractor is a nice gummy teether! My son enjoys both! With his mat I get about 15 minutes of tummy time! No complaints both my son and I love it. SoftSpot Portable Play Mat ReviewThis is my #1 must-have item for baby. We live overseas where the floors are predominantly tile/marble. I was on the lookout for a cushy solution for my wobbly sitting, tummy time hating 3 month old. The SoftSpot has provided a safe, comfortable area for baby to play, take the occasional nap, and practice new tricks like sitting/rolling/creeping.
Design: Easy to fold/store, easy to take to play group, easy to clean (also the cover, sold separately, has remained soft despite many, many washings), good cushion even for harder falls, firm enough to learn how to creep/crawl.
For mom: Freedom! When I sit baby down on SoftSpot (supported with boppy pillow) I know she is safe, comfortable and happy. I am freed up from always being an arms length away to catch any falls. We recently took it on vacation with us and it was a godsend. I could enjoy sitting at the "adult" table without a fussing baby in my lap because she was happily situated right next to us on the floor playing away.
For baby: She knows that this is "her" place so when we move locations, she is on familiar ground so to speak. Also, it's nice solution for spending time outside, especially if there is little green space. When there is green space, it's nice to have a portable way to put her in a shady spot or keep her comfortably close to us.
The only downside is the cost. I think a lot of families would love this item but find it cost prohibitive. I probably would not have considered spending so much if our floors weren't so hard and unforgiving.SoftSpot Portable Play Mat Overview

Step2 24-Inch Playmats (1 set of 4 mats) ReviewNew wood floors and two little babes... Yikes! What to do?
We bought 2 sets of these blue mats originally (sort of pricey, we thought) and ended up buying 2 more sets because we feel they are definitely worth it. Our kids (3 and 1 years old) can roughhouse and learn to somersault without getting tearful.
Rugs are an option we have used in other parts of the house, but they do not seem to provide as much cushion, and they do not clean up as easily when they are spilled on. So far, a wet washcloth has worked fine on any food residue.

Blue Available ReviewI purchased the 72 square feet pack of this product to go under an inflatable plastic pool we bought for our grandchildren. It works exactly as I hoped, padding the pool bottom for the kids, as well as protecting the pool itself. (We also used a ground cloth to place the tiles on.) It's easy to put together and take apart so we can travel with the pool to visit our grandchildren at their home too. As a bonus, the kids have a ball putting the 'puzzle mat' together and enjoy helping set the pool up. As for this supplier, they were wonderful. The shipping is not cheap, but the mats weigh a lot and delivery was amazing. We ordered the mats on a week end, and they arrived in a few days, in plenty of time for the kids' visit the following week end. We Sell Mats 36 Sq Ft Alphabet and Number Floor Mat ReviewWe have this set up on carpet, so the fact that it's a little thin makes little difference for us. We just didn't want our baby's face in the carpet constantly (I believe there are carcinogens in the stain sealants and we live in an apt. so don't see much point in shampooing or anything). The only thing that's annoying is the letters and numbers pop out of the mat which I don't really like because I know he's going to rip the thing apart as he gets older (he's 9 months now). But, he has taken a couple little tumbles and not cried so the mat combined with the carpet underneath must make a decent amount of padding while providing a stable, firm surface for him to practice being more mobile. All in all it was a good purchase for me but know that it is slightly thing (like it says, 3/8 in thick) and it can be taken apart easily (by you or your baby).
Edit: Now a couple months later we had to take it up. I don't know why, but it attracts ants that we couldn't get rid of. No matter how much vacuuming, wiping down on top and bottom they kept coming back even when we made sure my son didn't have a crumb on him left from lunch. I suspect the problem is the texture. Lots of little grooves for food to get into which makes it really difficult to clean. We'll probably put it back down this winter, but we disassembled it because it was just a harbor for ants and too hard to clean. Farmyard Activity Mat ReviewI absolutely LOVE our Skip Hop Activity Mat and so does our 8 week old son. When shopping for baby playmats, I narrowed it down between the Boppy Entertain Me Play Gym and the Skip Hop and I am glad I chose this. What I love most about this product is it's beautiful, modern and simple design, compared to the overly busy playmats available on the market. Even the animals have a distinct, modern look that both grown-up and children alike can enjoy. This playmat looks great in our modern home and modern nursery.
Our 8 week old son first looked at the pig and cooed, then took a liking to the cow that has a mirror on it and he just stared and cooed with more delight. All the hanging animals have a fun developmental and interactive feature. The sheep plays a musical song when pressed, the cow has a mirror, the rabbit is attached to a rattle and the pig has a whimsical chime. Even the mat itself has developmental play pieces for baby to discover - the cow squeaks, the duck has a crinkly wing and the rabbit has a velcro carrot that rattles. It also comes with a mini pillow for tummy time which we have used, but it is pretty small and looks like it will get outgrown quickly. It's perfect for now though. The mat is a nice sized square and feels like a well-made quilt.

This toy is cute and colorful and my son liked it immediately. He started to grab at the toys and kick and pull. He's 4 1/2 months.
HOWEVER, I would never let him play with this toy if I wasn't around. He very easily pulled the bar out as nothing holds it in place. In addition, the orange plastic pieces are a bit cheap and snap out of place also. I am debating on returning mine because the idea was to have a toy that would entertain him without me having to sit there and watch. I would not walk away because the plastic toys could hit him in the head when the bar pops out. On the packaging it says that you should keep the bar at a distance so that your child can not mouth the toys, however, our son tugged on one of the links until he got it to his mouth (the bar is very flexible). And a minor point would be that for some reason the link toys do not stay linked very well and within seconds they were unlinked and on the floor.
