Lamaze Tummy Time Air Play Mat ReviewMy son loves this tummy time mat. My 5 month old (true gestational age 4 months) really really dispizes tummy time. He had hardlly rolled over and was behind because he cried every time I tried to give him time on his tummy. After two weeks with this toy he has really developed his muscles and is rolling over and lifting up onto his elbows and knees! He laughs and smiles at him self in the mirror which by the way is a awesome mirror. It is nice and cleat and not distorted like some other baby mirrors and it's the right Hightower for the tummy prop that comes with mat. The tummy prop is firm but still very flexible and comfortable for baby.My son wiggles off of it accsionally but he lands on the plush mat so no big deal! The two toys are awesome! The corn is a crinkle toy and the tractor is a nice gummy teether! My son enjoys both! With his mat I get about 15 minutes of tummy time! No complaints both my son and I love it. The theme is cute and very gender neutral!Lamaze Tummy Time Air Play Mat OverviewTummy Time is an important developmental phase for all newborns, and Lamaze Tummy Time Air offers baby a fun and comfortable opportunity for encouraging tummy time play. Developed and approved by pediatricians, the new mat features two ends of play with bright colors and large, friendly eyes inviting baby to focus on a single object, thus supporting healthy eye development. As baby lies across the mat's tummy section, the flexible, breathable mesh material adapts to baby's body, distributing baby's torso weight evenly and minimizing the pressure on baby's abdomen. Fun features include a mirror sun for self-discovery, crinkle corn for stimulating baby's hearing, a tractor teether and loops to easily attach additional toys.

Step2 24-Inch Playmats (1 set of 4 mats) ReviewNew wood floors and two little babes... Yikes! What to do?
We bought 2 sets of these blue mats originally (sort of pricey, we thought) and ended up buying 2 more sets because we feel they are definitely worth it. Our kids (3 and 1 years old) can roughhouse and learn to somersault without getting tearful.
Rugs are an option we have used in other parts of the house, but they do not seem to provide as much cushion, and they do not clean up as easily when they are spilled on. So far, a wet washcloth has worked fine on any food residue.
One final note: Trucks roll gracefully and lego's and such have no problem standing up on the mats.Step2 24-Inch Playmats (1 set of 4 mats) Overview

72 Square Feet ( 18 tiles + borders) We Sell Mats 2' x 2' x 3/8" Anti-Fatigue Interlocking EVA Foam Exercise Gym Flooring. Blue Available ReviewI purchased the 72 square feet pack of this product to go under an inflatable plastic pool we bought for our grandchildren. It works exactly as I hoped, padding the pool bottom for the kids, as well as protecting the pool itself. (We also used a ground cloth to place the tiles on.) It's easy to put together and take apart so we can travel with the pool to visit our grandchildren at their home too. As a bonus, the kids have a ball putting the 'puzzle mat' together and enjoy helping set the pool up. As for this supplier, they were wonderful. The shipping is not cheap, but the mats weigh a lot and delivery was amazing. We ordered the mats on a week end, and they arrived in a few days, in plenty of time for the kids' visit the following week end. Great product and great supplier.72 Square Feet ( 18 tiles + borders) We Sell Mats 2' x 2' x 3/8" Anti-Fatigue Interlocking EVA Foam Exercise Gym Flooring. Blue Available Overview

Alex Toys Tumbling Mat ReviewWe bought two of these mats last Christmas. We used one for playing on (we have tile floors) and one as a safety net under my son's crib. Less than a year later the top layer is peeling off and the handles have torn off. This is not a sturdy mat. I am very disappointed in the quality. I am in search of a better quality mat as we are now using the mats for physical therapy. It is unpleasant to have pieces of the mat stuck to your child as she rolls or moves across the mat.Alex Toys Tumbling Mat OverviewAlex Toys Tumbler Mat. A giant, colorful Tumbling Mat for safe indoor or outdoor exercise and play! Open, it measures almost 4' wide and 6' long. When not in use, it folds to 4 x 2' and has handles for easy carrying. Chicco Duo Gym Activity Center ReviewI previously owned the Fisher Price Kick and Drive Gym which my first child used. She loved it and played with it for quite some time. I loved that the kick pad actually made the toy come on. It was also very easy to move from the lying position to the sitting position. The wheel does make a noise that could scare some children if they are not used to it but it was no problem for us.
The Chico gym is a joke. The foot panels do nothing more than squeak like a dog toy. It is not electronically connected to the rest of the toy. Also, you have to disassemble the gym in order to simply move it down to the sitting position. I wish I had never sold the Fisher Price one. I can say that it is attractive and does do the job as far as a toy goes, but don't count on getting any time for yourself out of it.Chicco Duo Gym Activity Center Overview

We Sell Mats 36 Sq Ft Alphabet and Number Floor Mat ReviewWe have this set up on carpet, so the fact that it's a little thin makes little difference for us. We just didn't want our baby's face in the carpet constantly (I believe there are carcinogens in the stain sealants and we live in an apt. so don't see much point in shampooing or anything). The only thing that's annoying is the letters and numbers pop out of the mat which I don't really like because I know he's going to rip the thing apart as he gets older (he's 9 months now). But, he has taken a couple little tumbles and not cried so the mat combined with the carpet underneath must make a decent amount of padding while providing a stable, firm surface for him to practice being more mobile. All in all it was a good purchase for me but know that it is slightly thing (like it says, 3/8 in thick) and it can be taken apart easily (by you or your baby).
Edit: Now a couple months later we had to take it up. I don't know why, but it attracts ants that we couldn't get rid of. No matter how much vacuuming, wiping down on top and bottom they kept coming back even when we made sure my son didn't have a crumb on him left from lunch. I suspect the problem is the texture. Lots of little grooves for food to get into which makes it really difficult to clean. We'll probably put it back down this winter, but we disassembled it because it was just a harbor for ants and too hard to clean. Upside was we put it in the washing machine successfully. We Sell Mats 36 Sq Ft Alphabet and Number Floor Mat OverviewSafe, non-toxic and independently tested FREE of Lead, BPA's and PVC. Exposure to letters and numbers influences learning. The individual 12" foam squares are colorful, washable and provide a cushioned surface. It includes 26 letters and 10 numbers that pop out for hours of learning fun. Straight borders included give the mat a finished look. It covers up to 36 sq. ft., 6' x 6' area and made of high density EVA foam 10mm, 3/8 inch thick. The letters and numbers do pop out of the tiles. This item is not recommended for use on carpets. For ages 3 and older.

Farmyard Activity Mat ReviewI absolutely LOVE our Skip Hop Activity Mat and so does our 8 week old son. When shopping for baby playmats, I narrowed it down between the Boppy Entertain Me Play Gym and the Skip Hop and I am glad I chose this. What I love most about this product is it's beautiful, modern and simple design, compared to the overly busy playmats available on the market. Even the animals have a distinct, modern look that both grown-up and children alike can enjoy. This playmat looks great in our modern home and modern nursery.
Our 8 week old son first looked at the pig and cooed, then took a liking to the cow that has a mirror on it and he just stared and cooed with more delight. All the hanging animals have a fun developmental and interactive feature. The sheep plays a musical song when pressed, the cow has a mirror, the rabbit is attached to a rattle and the pig has a whimsical chime. Even the mat itself has developmental play pieces for baby to discover - the cow squeaks, the duck has a crinkly wing and the rabbit has a velcro carrot that rattles. It also comes with a mini pillow for tummy time which we have used, but it is pretty small and looks like it will get outgrown quickly. It's perfect for now though. The mat is a nice sized square and feels like a well-made quilt.
It is a stylish playmat for design-conscious parents and a functional/interactive developmental toy for babies.Farmyard Activity Mat OverviewThere's so much to do on the farm with the Funky Farmyard Activity Play Mat by Skip Hop! Skip Hop's whimsical, graphic activity play mat has soft arches and a matching quilted tummy time pillow. 12 easy to hang loops and 5 hanging toys offer irresistible mulit-sensory play for baby at every stage of development. Plus textures and squeaky sounds on the mat surface add to the fun!
